Our story began at sixteen, with a first date in Rome and a first kiss in Venice just two days later. It sounds grand on paper, but to us, it simply feels like the most natural, fitting start to our life together.
But the foundation wasn’t built in Italy; it was built in the back of a classroom. Long before the school trip, we were the friends constantly getting dirty looks for talking too much; debating personality test results, swapping favorite music, and getting distracted by each other when we were supposed to be taking notes.
Since then, we’ve done what growing up together requires: long distance, college, and a move to Virginia to start our careers. We were then, and remain now, the kind of couple who talk nonstop, laugh at inside jokes, and genuinely love being in each other’s orbit. As we count down the days to our marriage, what matters most to us is continuing to show up for each other the way we always have: with care, humor, and intention.
